The MLS doesn't represent "soccer" in the US. That's the problem with your argument. It's different because the MLS may be the 10th best league in the world.
There's not an MLS team close to me, but I've been to London twice to watch games. I picked an English team to follow because the quality of play is better.

NCAA basketball
Just using that as an example. I still think it's easier to find a WNBA game than soccer currently but again soccer is going to have a more die hard fanbase so their ratings will grow. The WNBA will never grow beyond it's current state.
I used the NCAA basketball as an example to prove that even the second most popular college sport in America is still way ahead of soccer in popularity.
Soccer still has a ways to go is all I am saying.
Not sure why some of you can't accept that and comprehend it.
Y'all getting defensive about it is actually proving the OPs point that soccer fans in America can be absolute douches and annoying about the sport.

Fair enough but for it to grow here the average American is going to need a local team to support. I am not educated on Soccer like many of you obviously but outside of the MLS, what other leagues have American teams?
America is all about supporting the home team. It's why college athletics are a multi-billion dollar business and you see Bama tards poisoning trees.

He is right and it isn't even remotely close.
I've been to Heat watch parties and world cup watch parties. The world cup ones are 10x better. It is sorta like comparing the atmosphere in a big AU vs LSU game vs an LSU vs northwest directional U.

The MLS is pretty much non existent in the southeast, so I don't have a "home team". That will change soon with Atlanta getting an MLS team in 2017. I plan to watch them when it starts.
