NBC shows every English Premier League match.

How many casual soccer fans do you think care about a league that isn't represented by an American team?

Quite a few actually. They had very good ratings in year 1 of the deal.

No one watches NBC either FWIW.

They are the least watched of the 4 networks actually.

I'm sure watching the World Cup is much better than getting whooped in the NBA finals. And don't look now, but he's starting to sound like Kobe.

Since we are comparing, They primetime WNBA ratings out of the water. And that's with the majority of the games starting at 9 AM on Saturdays in America.

Other sports that are shown on TV in America, outside of American football. The figures are similar. You are wrong.

You know what's really dumb? Calling yourself a world champion of a sport played only in America.

MLS TV Ratings Are Lower Than the WNBA's

MLS Cup 2013 Down 44% In Viewership; Sets Record As Least-Viewed MLS Cup Ever

Doesn't look like Soccer is trending up in the USA.

Like I said, it is still very irrelevant to many Americans.

Link?

Because I just provided two links that state otherwise.

Based on MLS ratings?

Are we just ignoring that the World Cup ratings increase each time and the amount of money American broadcasters are shelling out for European leagues?

Your argument is very ad hoc.

That whole argument is flawed when you're using the MLS as the basis of it.

You provided MLS ratings, I'm talking EPL.

Not mad, just winning an argument. I say frick all the time, not just when I'm mad.

Don't get mad at me that WNBA is on more the MLS is.

You said MLS at first, but then applied your argument to soccer as a whole. Probably unknowingly, because you're dumb.

I said soccer will continue to grow here whereas the WNBA will be defunct when the NBA gets tired of subsidizing them.

You got this part right.

If you don't think soccer is trending up in this country, then this conversation is over. All you have to do is look around to see that it's been trending upwards.

to be fair again, he's said at least twice that soccer was trending up and WNBA trending down.

I don't care if it's trending up or down. That's hard to prove either way. He's presenting a flawed argument. That's the issue I have with his posts.
