Gotta think his schtick has run its course at this point right? I mean how many times are people gonna keep buying ppv for a guy who hasn’t won a fight in over 2 years

In the sense of being a real contender yes.

He will likely get a pay day or two more in. He will do some sideshow like fighting Jake Paul for a huge one. Then retire.

He’s still a draw but he’ll now be a set up fight for title contenders.

Dude has some talent…. But he also has a boatload of money. Does he want to grind in a real gym sparring killers everyday? Doubtful. Can he get back down to 145 and fight smaller guys that can’t take the shots? If he ain’t gonna do any of that then he won’t be any better than we have seen.

It's hilarious how bad it goes for him when he can't immediately knock out his opponent. I honestly don't know what's next for him but he's gonna have to take a real hard look in the mirror. I appreciate what he's done for the sport but he isn't beating poirier at this point

He’ll get Proper Rematch #12 if he wants it.

I agree with most of your point, but disagree with this. Dustin admitted last night that Conor had him buzzing before the fight went to the ground.

Conor can still strike with the best of the best. What he can’t do is dedicate himself to a ground game. It really isn’t cut and dry as to who would win between the two unless Dustin decides to just take him down and stay on him all fight.

Even when Conor was on the ground last night he did fight back and land some vicious elbows of his own. All it takes it one, either way.

Except it’s not a schtick. His douchebaggery comes natural

Sorry, but Dustin won every aspect of that fight. Connor got rocked and reached to clinch, then desperately tried a guillotine with no body control (basic BJJ), then got his head dribbled off the canvas for a couple minutes.

He can dedicate himself to the ground game the rest of his life but the gap is too wide.

Lots of wolf tickets sold last night.
Dustin is by far the better fighter. If Connor doesn’t break his ankle then it’s his face that was getting broke.

Connors mystique is gone and that one of his biggest advantages early on. His antics now seemed forced and pathetic.
Only way he’s ever a contender again is if he drops down to 145.

I also don’t think people have been giving Dustin credit. Dude is a killer and has been in some great fights against killers and won at 155. There is no shame to losing to poirier he is one of the best to ever do it. Dude has zero quit in him.

Exactly, DP has worked his way to being one of if not the best in the world.

It’s not like Connor sucks, but he can’t beat guys as well rounded as DP.

I always look at paths to victory. Connors paths are extremely limited at 155. Dustins paths are many

I think the fact that Connor broke his leg And lost on a TKO is gonna get him at least 1 more big payday possibly more. He was gonna lose anyway based on how the fight was going, but his fans now have straws to grasp at. Honestly if I were Dustin I would consider Not accepting another fight with him because of Connor’s trashy antics against Dustin and his family……..and if Connor didn't like it then “fook him”.

Connor needs to fight Nate and if he wins that then we can talk about another fight against a contender. Dustin has earned a shot at the title imo

Yeah he’ll never be a top contender again, just like Silva was after breaking his tib/fib
