Manning was garbage for the Broncos his last go around as well.

Indeed he was. Peyton vs Cam might have been the worst combined performances in the same Super Bowl. Remarkable that it happened in this era of passing offense

Worse than Rich Gannon and Brad Johnson?

This guy single-handedly made Larry Brown a Super Bowl MVP.

Had no idea it had back to back kick off returns for touchdowns

Had a prop bet of $100 for a shutout. I believe it was 450 to 1 and that fricking ST TD cost me a mint at that age.

That Ravens defense was the best I have ever seen (I was too young to see the 1985 Bears). Many won't remember that Ravens team went 4-5 games in a row without an offensive TD, but still won every game. That is incredible. Siragusa was an immovable mountain on the DL. I could be wrong, but I think that defense knocked McNair and Gannon out of both playoff games.

Yeah, Johnson was a good QB for a few years. I believe the Redskins even traded a #1 pick to get him.

I didn't even watch that Super Bowl. That might have been the last one I failed to watch actually.

The actual stat is that they went 5 consecutive games without an offensive touchdown and won 2 of them, which is still amazing.

The Giants lost that game the second they took the opening kick. The Ravens blueprint was to 3 & out teams, barely move the ball themselves but pin the other team and proceed to suffocate them to death.

They had great special teams, and by dominating the field position battle almost couldn't help but score just enough points to win with that great defense.

I felt like the actual Super Bowl that year was in Nashville.

God I hated them.

One thing I remember about Sam Adams and Tony Siragusa is that they combine for a total of 3 tackles that year... only job was to stand up and don’t be moved

Yeah, I was wrong about them winning all those games without an offensive TD. I thought I heard someone on the radio say that once. I was checking out some old box scores, and that defense knocked out the opposing starting QB in 3 of the 4 playoff games. Another interesting stat was Dilfer was so horrible he didn't throw for 200 yards in any of the playoff games. But the defense, running game, and special teams was so dominant all Dilfer needed to do was not turn the ball over.

I remember Siragusa landed on top of Gannon in the AFC Championship Game, and it looked like he suffocated Gannon to near death. I could feel the pain in the living room where the game was on. Siragusa and Adams were about 350 pounds each. Now imagine both of those behemoths landing on top of you at the same time.

This was my pick for worst Super Bowl ever.

There was no drama bc the Giants had no chance. Because the Ravens won with D, there weren't even fireworks. It was just a slow slog to the inevitable.
