Everyone jumping in saying "no way" but I don't see how you could watch and not think there was something more to their relationship. Crying on the guy's bed while holding his pillow seems to go beyond "CTE fricked him up."

Why does it have to jump to a gay relationship? Maybe he loved the guy like a brother. Everyone grieves differently.

Wrestlers are on the road with each other for 300+ days a year. If you're around someone that much, your friendship will obviously be on a different level. Doesn't mean you're banging each other. Would it be weird to cry on your brother's bed after he died?

and was trying to work on his depression, which was severe after the deaths of Eddy Guerrero, Mike "Johnny Grunge" Durham, and Victor "Black Cat" Mar. The trio, who all died within about two months, respectively consisted of Benoit's best friend, his best local friend who calmed him down when he got into arguments with Nancy, and his best friend on Japanese tours.

They weren't lovers. Just really close hell they traveled state to state for 20 years together. Were at each others most important days. Births and weddings. Didn't like how they made it seem like they were lovers.

something like that would be hard to keep under wraps. all these guys spend so much time together.

and with all the podcasts and "tell-alls," if this had any legs, it wouldve been outed well before now.

of course, i havent really kept up with wrestling in a loong time, so maybe there are rumors out there.

Say what you want but it was a gem when I wrote it.( Before I knew what happened). He ended up being the scum of the earth. He should have just offed himself instead of taking people with him. Screw that dude.

Nah, one of his signature moves was him literally diving head first off the top rope into another human. And after he looked like it hurt like shite. He did this 300+ times a year for decades. That's really all it boils down to.

I remember watching him do that move off the top of a cage. Even middle school me thought "that can't be a smart or healthy thing to do."

Speaking of pieces of shite, the episode on New Jack tonight should be fascinating.

My biggest question in regards to the murders is to whether or not they were premeditated. There was a lot of info left out of the doc, such as Chris & Nancy's belief that their son Daniel had Fragile-X, was undersized, mentally retarded, and the toll it was taking on them. I thought that perhaps Chris snapped during an argument and killed Nancy, and then realized that he'd be locked up, and figured there was no going back to the life he had, so he decided to kill Daniel and then himself. However, if there was evidence of the murders being premeditated, that throws my theory out the window.

My sources and/or memory might be wrong, but this is what I remember reading: 1) the medical examiner estimated that Nancy died a full day before Daniel, and Daniel a full day before Chris, and 2) Nancy was found tied up (but not Daniel). That to me points to premeditation.

I guess nowadays if you're a man and you care about another man, you'll be accused of being gay.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. See to me, that shows me that he accidentally killed Nancy, and then took some time to think what he was going to do next... and eventually he came up with the plan to kill Daniel and then himself. I guess that means that at least Daniel's death was premeditated.

You don't tie up someone after you accidentally kill them.

After murdering his wife Nancy and sending a few strange text messages to his friends, Chris Benoit committed his most unforgivable act in taking the life of his 7-year-old son, Daniel.

While there have been a handful of justifications for how a man could conceivably get angry and murder his wife, the idea of that same man then murdering a completely innocent child is significantly harder to rationalize for anyone who isn’t a psychopath.

Things only get worse with the knowledge Daniel’s death was most definitely predetermined, more so than Nancy’s even, proved by Benoit apparently having dosed his son with Xanax prior to taking his life.

This alone makes it clear Benoit wanted Daniel unconscious, and it should be no surprise he quickly strangled him to death after achieving that goal.
