Any rumors during that those days that he and Eddie Guererro were lovers, and that was the reason for the serious depression issues after Eddie's death?

Really interesting show.

Never thought of it like that, but I still can't see it, especially Eddie.

Doubt it. Benoit had brain damage. No need to overthink it.

I know that wresling is fake
but lets just give it a take,
this guy was really small
but he stood above most all
if anyone had any grit
you were the one who had it.
we only know you from TV
but you did as much as you could be
from a father,husband,or just a man
you did the all that you can
you had blue eyes, and this is true
but there is no man you would not go through
you were the best I have ever seen
BECAUSE YOU ARE THE RABID WOLVERINE!!!!!!!!

Of course. Just going by the tone of the show. All seemed to be under control under Guerrero died. Then it appears that the spiral started and quickly.

Go watch that Aaron Hernendez bull shite if you want that kind of garbage. Benoit was fricked up and had severe brain damage. It's a tragedy what happened and it sucks his wife and kid paid the ultimate price.

Nah, one of his signature moves was him literally diving head first off the top rope into another human. And after he looked like it hurt like shite. He did this 300+ times a year for decades. That's really all it boils down to.

I felt so bad for his son and Im so glad he reconnected with Nancy’s sister. He was able to release all his emotions out that he was holding on to. Chris and Chavo are great dudes.

Even in that documentary he's watched, they mentioned the wrestler he idolized (who was told by his idol not to do that move) told Benoit not to do it either. He also had an extremely high amount of testosterone in his body.

So, brain damage + huge roid rage = not a good combo

I don’t know if they were lovers but that documentary does make it seem like Benoit was seriously in love with Guerrero. Even the nephew Chavo hints at it when he said that Chris “mourned him like a spouse” and how it was strange to even Eddie’s own family how hard he took Eddie dying. I’ve had good friends die that was tough and close family members die. For whatever reason, it seems he couldn’t go on without Eddie. The CTE, IMO, is the main thing and I think that irrational behavior with not getting over a friends death and killing your own family members is most likely a direct link to the brain damage.

Chris Benoit and Aaron Hernandez show what can happen with major CTE.
If you get CTE, it’s probably a good chance you gonna want to kill people and suck dicks.
Just stating the facts.

I had never seen or heard of this show and watched this 2 parter this weekend.

CTE is no joke.

I do not think they were gay, but Eddie was his steady rock in the world of crazy. Eddie was getting away from the sh!t that was destroying him, and Chris hooked unto that.

And then when he dies not related, he lost it.

Felt bad for his oldest son. Seemed like a good kid, and look just like his dad so no escaping.

This is the correct answer. It was a lethal cocktail of drugs, brain damage, and the heartbreak of losing his best friend out of nowhere.
