About as clear as day as the targeting call in the OSU/UGA game. Had to be called, and instead it was overturned

players play how they have been officiated. there wasn’t a single call on a DB all game for either team, so clearly refs were letting light contact go all game. from a fan perspective, it was a bad time to decide to call a minor infraction

This is what it’s all about. I could not agree more..

Yes, we know exactly how you feel about having to make big calls.

They also got that call horribly wrong FWIW. Like there's no excuse for how bad they missed it.

That was nothing compared to the targeting that UGA got away with on LSU's RB in the SECCG. The SEC was scared to have a backup LB out for UGA in the playoffs, so they got away with it. Much more blatant than the one against OSU.

And being held while in his break, initially causing him to go to the ground.

This.

No db calls all game. Can’t call one there.

Of course I'm getting downvoted.

This place.....

This place is a breeding ground for victim mentality. They still hate the NFL for the kneeling that happened like 10 years ago. It was a hold. If it was rigged, they would have let Philly get the ball back with more time.

There was never a real controversy…the angles provided that night were enough to show it was clearly a hold (2 actually)…
And then the player ADMITTED to holding him and said he hoped he could get away with it..
There have been hundreds of awful calls that significantly and unfairly affected games in critical situations…this was not one of them…and the “can’t call it at that stage of the game” crowd are idiots…if he doesn’t hold, it could have very well been a TD…
Ironically, not holding him and him getting a TD, may have been better for Philly in the long run…
