Don’t they have some connection? He spoke at their coaches clinic or something. Thoughts?

They aren’t getting urban, Mullen and are too good for another up and coming young coach. The Rams on the other hand are stuck with Goff’s contract and will be hampered pretty good by next year’s cap decline.

I think it could work. McVay has been groomed by LA to act the roll of booster arse kisser.

I would say He is probably trying to get more money out of the Rams

I think he's all NFL. To be honest, I don't know if there is a very good crop of up and comers this year for Texas to target

Why would a highly successful NFL head coach leave to go coach college?

Well we know they'll exhaust all their options before they go this route. But their holier-than-thou crap limits their options

I wish Elhinger would come back for another year if McVay was hired just to see if McVay could turn him around like he did Goff.

I’ve never thought Ehlinger would be an elite QB, but his regression over the last couple of years is confusing.

I love how Texas is so full of themselves that they think one of the top NFL coaches would leave to go there.

#1 target should be Meyer
#2 Target should be Matt campbell

Then you look at Fickell, if they turn you down.

The only times I've seen an NFL head coach that was in the middle of having success leave their team is when they were beefing with management (Jimmy Johnson, Jim Harbaugh, etc) or retiring. McVay has potential to win the division and make a run in the playoffs and he's already making $8.5 mil living in L.A. and has literally never had a college coaching job of any kind, recruiting isn't for everyone.

Idk where you heard this rumor but it's laughable on just about every level

If McVay were to ever do college, he could stay in LA and lead USC. At least I could see that fit.

I’m hearing Saban to Texas not McVeigh. We need the coaching changes board to fire up.

It’s actually plain as day if you’ve watched many of their games.

He has had multiple concussions every year for the last four years. Bad concussions. He was knocked out cold in the OU game two years ago and came back in the game.

He’s gotten worse with each concussion.
