Didn't see where this waw mentioned. The Fertitta family, Restaurateurs in Shreveport bought a stake in Mage. What a story!

Fertitta as in Tillman? I assume there is a relation there.

Ferttita's Delicatessen at bottom of Fairfield Hill in downtown. Home of the "Muffy", not a muffuletta but similar. Been there about a 100 years. Searched for Shreveport Times article on Friday about them. Can't find it in that rag!

Yep, 382 owners. A super popular radio host here is part owner too. Very cool. Was pulling very hard for Mage.

Most likely they are referring to Joe Fertitta, who owned Anvil Bar and Grill where pizzarev/line ave pie and brew is currently. I used to bus at his restaurant. I do remember he had a horse racing station on one his TVs that I assumed only degenerate gamblers would be interested in
I actually didn’t know he was that into horse racing, but that is very cool and I’m happy for him.

I take exit 1 off I-59 on the way home. Shoulda continued to the turnaround and bet on Mage.

Didn't know about 382 owners! Yes, Joe Fertitta - there are many Joes and Johns with that surname. The STORY was that an owner hit the Derby on their first try, I believe. I tried to link the story from the Shreveport Times which is no longer suitable for toilet paper since they went to latex ink. Not a WORD about the Derby in this morning's online edition!

My next door neighbor is part owner of Apple, Wal Mart, and Amazon!!

And they'd probably get a pretty nice ROI if he wasn't a gelding.

To say that he is an owner is laughable. These “services” are cost mitigation for the real owners. 382 fools own shares in 1/5th of the horse, and that is if all interests are equal.

Mage isn’t gelded
But we have a lot of sons of curlins and grandsons of curlin at this point considering curlin is still standing.
