John 'Hot Plate' Williams of LSU and the Bullets. Awesome talent. Ate his way out of the league.

Very nice write up. I had the privilege to play on Bracey Wright and Derons high school team and a little known fact about Bracey is that he had back surgery after his freshman year at Indiana. He was a lottery lock before the draft and opted to return his sophomore year bc of the surgery.
I played against Acie Law in high school. He was a joke compared to Bracey. Also played against Jason Maxiell, Deron, Chris bosh, Bryan Hopkins, Raymond Felton, Sebastian telfair, Austin Jackson, among others... Bracey was the best. Ranked ahead of Carmelo in most polls as a senior (5 & 6 respectively)... The year Amare was number 1. Broke Kobe Bryant's high school scoring record at the high profile myrtle beach tournament.... Same year Deron broke j kidds assist record at the same tourney.
Indiana coach Mike Davis once said after a loss, while ranked in the top 10 in the country, "I'm not worried.... Help is on its way". That was the day Bracey signed his LOI.
Glad to see he got a little shout out even if its only on a message board.

Was a huge Bracey fan. Went to FMHS so got to see him play against us and then saw yall at that Dallas Morning News Classic when he had Indiana and Hoosier written in sharpie down his long socks
And I even followed ole Bamfield Harmon, even though he didn't do much at Rhode Island

Ole bamfield... He was my roommate for about a year from 25-26. He left Rhode Island after a year to pursue football but couldn't get it going.

come on. How did you not cover so many lsu players??
John Williams - he was a legend in los angeles, Nike even had a billboard of him with him labeled "allah"
Jamie Brandon - a true chicago legend up there with ronnie fields although many say he was much better than fields good fairly recent article here LINK

Acie Law IV
Remeber that game winner vs. t.u. and the one he hit at Kansas like they were yesterday.

Is it just me or I thought that Law hit two big shots against Kansas. I remember the one at Kansas that basically won the game but I thought he hit another big shot in possibly a losing effort

Nice thread. You should probably add former LSU star Chris Jackson. Dude is still ballin in Asia in his late 40s.

I would add more but I have now realized I'm near the character limit in all of my posts up there so I would need to:
A.) Move that one post that's away from the others up, and
B.) Get about two empty posts underneath that last one so I can add more names and move stuff around
I might just start up a requests post when I get the time this weekend and keep the subject title updated

Rafer was a great addition to Houston and was well received. His old And 1 tapes were awesome!

Leon Smith
Unfortunately the trade to Dallas got him teamed up with Roy Tarpley.
If the Spurs keep him he gets teamed up with David Robinson.
Main importance of the pairing was that Smith was actually a ward of the State of Illinois coming out of HS. Robinson could have been a real father figure to a young man who clearly needed it.
