The outcome of this game shouldn’t matter. Bama and Georgia have both played a full season of excellent football against a tough schedule. Why in the hell would one top 10 team losing to another drop them out of the top 10?

We’re dropping Texas out for losing to Ohio State

No. They lost by 2 TDs to a 5-7 team. They have no business in the playoff if they don’t win the SEC CG.

These 2 teams have an insane benefit of the doubt with the committee.

Did you giggle after typing that?

They’d be more deserving than ND, Clemson, etc

But it’s Bama so “no”

They should be out if they lose and have 3 losses.

Haha. Good one

Alabama has stunk late in the season.

Won by 7 vs South Carolina (8 losses)
Won by 11 vs LSU with no HC
Lost to OU (at home). OU is overrated and their offense is putrid.
Won by 7 vs Auburn (1-7 SEC). Auburn is bad.

If they lose to Georgia, woof. Not deserving at all with 3 losses and those poor performances late in the year.

Won by 7 @ Auburn

Texas A&M won by 6. Oklahoma won by 6. Georgia won by 10. Vandy won in overtime. 3 firmly in the playoff. Bama is the only team of those that never trailed Auburn.

I love shitting on Auburn as much as anyone, but maybe their record is arse because their schedule was brutal, and they took multiple playoff teams to the wire. Looking at records and not opponents is some heather dinich shite

Bama finished #1 in the league. Y’all can hope in one hand and shite in the other. The only thing at stake Saturday is whether Bama is the 3-4 seed or the 9 seed

If they lose by 1 they shouldn't be in.

we are living in bizarro world when the 3rd and 4th place SEC teams sit back in a more comfortable position than the 1st and 2nd place teams.

Georgia is in with a loss. Alabama has to play their way in. Ole Miss and A&M are sitting pretty. Oklahoma and Vandy are sweating out without any control.

No. They need to keep it within 2 touchdowns.

Of course, if there is an exception that can be made for losing a big game, we will always find a reason with Bama.

Depends on other teams and how they play. I would say that there is no guarantee and if they were to be beaten badly, which no expects then you have to look around to see if there might be a better team available.

You think bama would jump 6 spots with a win? I don’t think they are getting a bye with a win.

Yes, I think they should get in. #1 they already beat UGA on the road # 2 if they are in now, why penalize them for having to play that game no different then what happened to SMU last year their overall schedule still measures up

Then why not lock the playoffs now?

If a team playing an extra game can’t be penalized, then why can a team be rewarded and play that extra game to get in?

Yea, that's not gonna happen.

Hard to tell what's from last year & this year (some rematches), but your list looks like the SECCG and a bunch of CFP games coming in ahead of it??

Why keep a game that knocks your conference out of those more lucrative CFP games?? It's had a great run but the writing is on the wall & we're all seeing it.
