I'm surprised that Fickell has been so awful at Wisky. Looked like a perfect fit.
And sunbelt coaches Napier, Satterfield and Brown have been blah, while Drinkwitz and Sumrall thrived in their next job.

I don't know how the bets are set up, but it should be set up so that it's the announcement that counts, even if the coach is allowed to finish this season.

But sometimes coaches who aren’t getting fired but want to step down make those same announcements…
Then you have the ones involved in scandals that you wouldnt normally fire

Sam Pittman seems like the best value at 9/1
Sam’s name will be on this list next year, don’t waste your money.

Wait till they’re 2-3 after they lose to Vandy in Tuscaloosa

It will never not be funny to me that people on this board were hard shilling for Sunbelt Billy over BK

I am surprised as well... He came in and tried to change their identity which is being a pro style power running football team to a spread offense. It hasn't been good for him.

This is going to sound insane but I'll bet Napier gets till at least mid next year. Administration will recognize this year's schedule is brutal and just look for background things to indicate something's moving in the right direction.
If they don't break .500 by October next year then he's fricked.

No chance. Brutal schedule or not, at some point it becomes more expensive to keep him than to let him go. They might be at that point already.
I think if Miami blasts them on Saturday, Napier will be gone by Monday. They have a bye the week after so it would probably be an ideal time to make a move.

Kind of shocked that he’s third. The buyout is pretty low, but if they make it to 6-6, which is very doable, there’s no chance he’s getting fired.
Agree. This also is absent the fact that UVA doesn’t have a president yet so they won’t want to make a big decision this year barring something awful.

Have no fear, Napier will still be employed this time next week even if Miami beats us 99-2.

Napier. I think the other schools know they can't do much better in reality.

Fickell & Gundy must have shot up there with Napier
