Scheffler’s 15 total individual PGA Tour wins since since his first (2022 WM Phoenix Open) are as many as those of Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas — the official world golf ranking’s Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 players — combined.

Heard a stat yesterday:

He’s played exactly 140 events.

Started 0-70
In his next 70 starts has 15 wins and 3 Majors.

And is still well behind Tigers winning pace over his ENTIRE CAREER including the last 6 or 7 years where he’s not really a competitive golfer

What would we set the odds at he completes the career grand slam? I’d say now that he has confidence with the mallet putter I would put it at -150

US Open seems like a complete lock. Game is perfect for it. British is way more of a crapshoot, but seems likely.

I think Xander has a better chance at getting the career grand slam then Scottie just because I am not sure how well Scottie's game translates for the Open. It seems like he does great hitting his high stock shots but has issues with the playing conditions over there.

At the same time, he's in the best player in the world and I am an idiot on a computer, so I could easily be wrong about that.

-150 equates to slightly better than 50% chance of probability

What exactly do you find funny? I would not take a bet against Scottie winning th career grand slam unless I received plus odds

Out of all the guys that are within two, I’d say he’s the favorite to do it, but definitely not minus odds

Before this week it was

Spieth (1) +550
Schauffele (2) +700
Morikawa (2) +1000
Rahm (2) +1000
Koepka (2) +1250
Phil (1) +1500

He was +350 before this week, when he still needed 3

I think he would be plus or minus odds right on the line now. Would fluctuate like crazy based on current form one way or the other. You would be buying thigh high right now coming off a major win

Xander has the advantage of already having won the Open but that is about it. As good as Xander is, Scottie's game is just on a different level right now.

The US Open is going to be awesome. If Bryson wins you'd have all three with two majors but if Scottie or Xander win you have two guys at a young age only one major away from the career slam.

Scottie's improved putting has me more confident than ever that he could win the Open.

Scottie was +350 when he still needed 3 majors

Xander was +700 while only needing 2

Odds aren’t relatively close. But odds are just that, odds

What?
Very easy to understand what he said

If Bryson wins the us open he joins Xander and Scottie with 2/4 majors in his belt

Whoops. Mental fart, was thinking Bryson already had a PGA for some reason.

Why would I edit? That’s clearly what he was saying

He bow has acknowledged Bryson can’t increase his total towards the career grand slam with a us open as he already has that leg

Would you like to say what you think Scottie’s grand slam odds will update to?

?? What Scottie Scheffler Has Won:
-? Masters: 2022, 2024
-? PGA Championship: 2024
-? U.S. Open
-? The Open Championship
-Still needs to win:
-U.S. Open
-The Open Championship

?? Estimated Career Odds (Per Major)
Assuming Scheffler plays 15 more years of majors:
U.S. Open
-Estimated starts remaining: 15
-Estimated win chance per year: ~5%
-Cumulative chance of winning at least once: ~54%

The Open Championship
-Estimated starts remaining: 15
-Estimated win chance per year: ~5%
-Cumulative chance of winning at least once: ~54%

?? Odds of Completing the Career Grand Slam
-To complete the Grand Slam, Scheffler must win both:
-The U.S. Open
-The Open Championship
-Combined probability of winning both (based on estimated odds):
-0.54 × 0.54 ˜ 0.29

? Estimated odds of completing the Grand Slam: ~29%

Pebble Beach and Oakmont both play similar to Augusta. He has a pretty good shot this year at Oakmont and 2027 at Pebble Beach.

The Open is just a crap shoot, but his best shot is probably 2027 at the Old Course in St. Andrews. Tiger, Jack, Faldo, and Ballesteros have combined 6 wins at St. Andrews and won multiple Masters.
