I could see lsu struggle with NIL. There is just more money in Texas and OSU and ND have bigger national fan bases.

However, there will still be lots of kids that want to go to lsu.

So the teams who played in last year's national title game who also happen to be the two best recruiting programs in America are going to struggle? Interesting.

They already struggle. Things won't change much for them.

So a small private school with subpar facilities and a struggling athletic budget is going thrive?

Its going to take more than a shady trial lawyer throwing around cash thinly disguised as NIL money for them to thrive. Especially when his net worth has taken a big tumble recently and his association with the university is under investigation.

They'll eventually be good again but not because of NIL.

You’re projecting that Bama and UGA will struggle? Two teams people accuse of paying for players but now that it’s legal they’ll struggle? Gtfoh.

Yeah Ohio State and Penn State aren't going to struggle... HUGE alumni and fanbases.

If USC struggles being in the entertainment capitol of the world, they're done for forever.

Watch, a team like Wake Forrest will thrive. A rich alumnus will start just pouring money into the program.

Over time, the schools that will kill it in the NIL era, are the schools that are in big cities and have access to capital because of it. Ohio State is actually going to get even stronger being in one of the fastest growing big cities in America. I do disagree with schools like Penn State...i think they are going to slide big time. Happy Valley is tiny and in the middle of nowhere. I don't care how big their alumni are in this particular case, Penn State is going to struggle to attract recruits because they simply don't have the market to facilitate the things these players are going to demand. What major businesses are in Happy Valley that could give recruits a one up on other schools? Hell, Rutgers will have more to offer recruits than Penn State. I think Rutgers, with Schiano at the helm and in the NIL era, could become a dangerous program. Being in the NYC metro is going to help them big time!

Add SMU to the thrive. We almost have a 50 mil collective funded and are going to deploy it starting this year. We also have been very fortunate in transfer portal. I heard TCU is well on their way to 50 million also.

I do think programs in poorer states will struggle comparative to others. Look at the tantrum Saban is throwing over this. He knows he can't compete with Texas, A&M, Southern Cal, Miami, etc in NIL. NIL is leveling the playing field. Heck, Alabama can't even compete with TCU, Baylor, or SMU in NIL funds

No coincidence Alabama is like #17 in recruiting for 2023.

Bama has consistently been in the 30’s to 50’s this time of year in recruiting. It to early to tell if NIL is hurting them.

Oklahoma, Michigan, tOSU, Bama, and Georgia on the struggle list kinda feels like you're trolling. I could see maybe Michigan but only because they're full of themselves and probably think they can attract recruits simply to be Michigan Men or whatever. Penn State should be on the Thrive list, that's a rabid fan base with a very large alumni base as well.

Can definitely see LSU, FSU, and Clemson struggle in this new era relative to the level they've been recruiting at over the last 10-15 years. I could see some "smaller" schools who are flagship universities for apparel companies recruit at a higher level than they've been accustomed to. We've now seen it with Adidas and Louisville. Maybe UNC with the Jordan brand and Maryland with Under Armour to an extent.

Why would LSU struggle when they're the only major program in a state loaded with HS talent?
