Most weekends one SEC game will be free and over the air which I think is a disadvantage.
This seems incorrect. Sankey said on a podcast during SEC media days that there will be some weekends where the SEC will have a triple header on ABC.

CBS’ production is the best of all of the networks covering college football.
The problem is their incessant number of ads led to 4-hour games being the norm.
I will miss having the standalone CBS slot and the great production, but I will not miss Danielson or the 4-hour games.

Wasn't the Red River Shootout on ABC?
Because that frickin' awesome fast-paced game had 1 commercial break in the entire 1st quarter, despite multiple TDs, kickoffs and two long on field injuries where they never even left for a commercial break.
Yes, I couldn't even watch a big portion of the game because they kept having technical difficulties.

And the yellow flash that makes it look like there was a flag thrown.

Don't care, I usually watch on mute with Eli Gold.

That being said, ESPN is kind of a joke outside of their main broadcast of the week with Fowler and Herbstreit. Not looking forward to RGIII being a staple of SEC football going forward.
Herbie and Fowler will obviously be the #1 crew, but McElroy and Sean McDonough will be the #2 crew and I don't think you can find a better #2 crew for any sport on any network.
McDonough is the best PBP guy in the biz outside of Ness and Kevin Harlan.

Great post, mate. I like espns 2 better than their one.
Fox also has a #2 crew that is better than their one.

NBC is my favorite for sports.

The Big Ten is now a superior league to the SEC. CBS made a brilliant move to not renew SEC games...their viewership will skyrocket

Sure…. I can’t wait to see the numbers of the Minnesota vs. Iowa matchup.

No offense to the Golden Boy but this is such a low IQ NPC message board take.
