Agreed. Also, you can't rightfully blame everything on poor parenting, but that seems to be a major contributing factor here.

I do still have sympathy both for Johnny and his family though. Hope they get help before something truly tragic happens.

his dad tried to admit him to rehab last weekend but he wouldn't stay. he tried to admit him to a pysch facility Tuesday and they let him leave.

not sure who "they" is but he's at least trying.

Did he tell the front desk he was Billy Janziel and they let him walk out the front door?

If my son. I'm on a plane immediately. I whip his fricking arse. Explain to him what an embarrassment he is. How he's wasted these
opportunities. Drag his arse on a plane. Throw him into rehab. Delete his social media accounts. Throw away his cell phone. And instruct everyone in the family to keep their fricking mouths shut to the media.

Explain to him until his life is straight. It's all over. All of it. Football, social life, and fame.
What a crock of shite.

Johnny is 23, not 13.

You want to get Johnny's attention? Write him out of the will.

yeah like this would work Eta. It would probably make him rebel even further

What he's doing now isn't working.

Rebel further? The only check mark left is murder or him getting killed by someone or just offing himself.

How much further should they treat this with kids gloves before they put the boots in his arse?

True, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't do the same thing. I don't know. My son is only 4, so I guess I'm just getting overly emotional/protective thinking about what I would do.

But I'm sure this same level of antics has been going on since he was 13 and they've turned a blind eye. People dont all of a sudden go bat shite crazy over night. Except when Britney shaved her head...that's the only exception.

This. How can you do all that to a grown arse man with millions of his own money? He would tell you to frick off.

And although he'd be doing his best to be a good Dad ... he'd be wasting his time, money, etc., until YOU decided that YOU wanted to "get right."

We can only assume that Manziel's family has pleaded with him to cut all this shite out.

Manziel simply needs to hit rock bottom and then decide what it's going to be:

a) dead
b) prison
c) live

First, he'd whip YOUR fricking arse and then tell you to piss off.

I think the threat of losing out on a life of luxury will hit home. He's lived his entire life knowing that he has a safety net of tens of millions of dollars, regardless of how he does in whatever career he chooses. Take that money away and see how he acts.

Surely isn't worse than your idea of kicking an NFL athletes arse and taking his cell phone away.

Again who's this "they" his father is referring to? Shouldn't be part of the "they"?

It's a lovely idea... In theory.

Good luck using it in the real world though.
