Also I'm guessing Lochte makes a "donation" to an "institution" and he doesn't have to go testify

I apologize if I'm missing something here, but why would he have to go testify? I doubt he would ever go to Brazil again regardless. So, what reasoning would he even have to make a "donation"?

Brazil hanging on to this like a stage 5 clinger. They are just trying to remind us about this "fake" robbery so we won't talk about the other athletes that were robbed.

He doesn't have to, but I'm sure paying someone can make this go away if he wants it to

I thought he lied to media not to the police. Correct? Since when is lying to media a crime? Hillary does it every day.

He won't go and he's not going to be extradited over what is essentially a petty charge if they follow through with the falsifying a report deal.

At least if he has any sense he won't go. Keep in mind this is the same Brazilian government that tried to pull the "Just kidding, you really owe $48,000" on the other swimmer who had to give up $11,000 to get the frick out of Dodge.

If I had a nickel for every time I saw someone mention this in a Ryan Lochte thread I'd have like 5 nickels

Or he could just not show up and make it go away for free.

He should act all serious and have the media follow him to the airport saying he going to Brazil then end up on a beach somewhere and just be like "whoops, got on the wrong plane. Don't care...."

Going out on a limb here, but I bet he doesn't show up.

For lying on a police report and trashing a soap dispenser? I doubt he wants to return and spend time in a third world jail.

He's an arse and a liar but this is probably about getting someone in Brazil elected. They have real problems with crime, sanitation, and housing... this is just a public distraction for people pissed off at the ugly American.

I'd tell them to get fricked.

No way I'd ever set foot in Brazil again.

Just fricking lock him up and put him on death row.

No judge, no jury. Just an executioner.
