They aren’t great but Russ gets himself hit a lot. I think they’re just one good OT away from being pretty solid actually.

A third of his career sacks have been on him not his offensive line. Maybe he should learn how to throw the ball away or rely on what made them successful in the first place: The running game.

It’s no coincidence that the more they rely on Russell, the lower their ceiling is.

Pro athletes these days are soft pussies.

He's taking up a third of his team's salary cap.

Maybe he should throw quicker routes and also not hold onto the ball so long. His line isn't great, but he also takes forever to throw

The QB "player empowerment" movement in the NFL is here. Get ready...it will be championed by all the media talking heads too. As soon as Watson gets his way and is traded, the NFL product will see another decline in support and viewership.

I hope the other owners make the Texans take one for the team and don’t trade Watson

I feel like every third play is him holding it for a long developing route downfield that takes forever, getting pressured, and running away while trying to make an improvised play happen.

I think some of that has to be on the OC as well, but yeah Russ holds the damn ball a lot.

He’s the same age as Stafford but will be paid almost $25 million more the next two seasons combined. He’s the second worse QB contract in that division, maybe the worst depending on how much Jimmy GQ has left in guaranteed funds.

This. 2 of the last 3 years, Seattle was top 10 in ESPN's pass block win rate. Russell seems to be going through the same phase Rodgers went through where he just tried to play hero/big play ball instead of smart football by taking what the defense gives you.

And he’s basically the NFL quarterback version of what the NBA’s shot selection is. Everything is either a deep ball for him or a check down.

Wow
Way to throw your oline under the bus
I bet that will help in the offseason with those guys

He mentions Lebron - two different leagues along with the way you can acquire players, it's not the same
Honestly the best pickup the Bucs made last season was drafting Wirfs the OT - that spot is solved for at least 10 years

Seems fair after 7 years of them throwing him under a much more literal bus

I look forward to Mahomes demanding a trade in a few years when Hill and Kelce aren't the most dominant players at their positions
