So I'm hearing about Sean Payton's comments about Russ and how he has to "quit kissing babies" and it got me to thinking. Does anyone recall some of the comments coming out of Seattle after they won Super Bowl about Russ not being black enough? Seems like that had to be in 2014 or later.
So if that story is right, do some of his teammates consider him as not one of their own? I didn't pay attention to most of Denver's games last year but recalling the story from 8+ years ago makes me think that his personality just doesn't work in an NFL locker room. I suspect that this has been covered before on this board.
If that's the case, then holding on to the ball too long is not his only problem.

Richard Sherman came out and made some comments last year about how he maybe conducted himself like he was better than everyone else etc and Pete Carroll kissed his arse for awhile.

Pete Carroll did him no favors. They lost a super bowl trying to make him the golden boy. He needs someone like Peyton that don't cut him any slack and baby him. Gonna be interesting how he responds this season.

I believe blacks hate other blacks who they claim are trying to act white more than they actually hate white people. So there is probably some truth to Wilsons teammates not liking him because he acts white.

Its probably much more about being fake. Black or white don't matter. Just be real. Everything about him comes off as rehearsed.

When Wilson came into the league he was married to a White woman & most of his close friends were White. The majority of his Black teammates reportedly didn’t like him as they considered him “too White” but kept their mouth shut publicly because he turned out to be good & they won a Super Bowl. Reportedly his White wife cheated on him with his teammate Golden Tate completely emasculating him in their eyes further & he divorced her. This is when stuff from his teammates started to come out publicly that he was disliked.
Then he cucked himself out further by marrying Ciara who was a single mother by a rapper who she never married. I personally think this is all nuts but this is how many in the Black community treat other Black people who don’t follow their perceived narratives. Downvote all you want but you know it’s the truth.

Wilson is basically "Ideal Mr. QB football bot" at this point. He has always been a weird dude who gave off cult-leader, try hard, John Edwards fake politician vibes, but it seems like that shite gotten even more out of hand since he came to Denver and Payton is trying to put a stop to it.
I know Sean couldn't turn down that kind of money to coach again, but I guarantee he wants to throw himself out a window every day dealing with Wilson. He probably thinks he isn't talking to a real human when interacting with him... And he's probably right.
The real Russell Wilson was probably buried before he got to college and will never resurface again as a normal person or stone cold precision killer like Payton wants at QB.
Wilson has been trying to set himself up as a guy who will run for president or try to be the league commissioner for 15 yrs... And it's never going to work. People just want him to stop being so damn weird.

Wasnt his father a Rhodes scholar type or something? And didn't Wilson have all sorts of Ivy League offers, but chose big football programs like NC State and Wiscy instead?
I'm sure he is probably exactly what you described and would be right at home as a professor of Literature or something at a big university, but he was extremely gifted athletically and followed that path.
He seems like a guy who is actually probably really nice and odd and nerdy and extremely socially akward, but he had to find some kind of shield to use as a public persona and this is what he came up with.

Russell Wilson is on the Mount Rushmore of fake lizard people. He's the most false sounding person I've ever heard behind a microphone and if you told me something negative about him I would believe it in a split second.
