Zero complaints about a public school kid going to Catholic, knocking out a 36 on the ACT helping Catholic to a national record 6th blue ribbon. But don’t let the kid be really good at football.

It may be the publics that have their priorities out of order.

The school’s current Athletic Director, J.P. Kelly, is being promoted to the position of Advancement Director for the school.

Current Assistant Athletic Director Coach Ben DiPalma will move into the role on July 1.

Not exactly the house cleaning storyline.

So, they promote the AD to a higher position and you think that’s a sign of something?

This thread is sad

But frick that, for football equity Warrick should have gone to his shitty inner city school and been left to rot

So we should allow the rules to be broken just because of specific instances where it works out?

I don’t care. But apply the rules equally. The crap that happened with that QB from Hahnville a few years ago is a perfect example of the rules not being applied equally. If that’s a catholic school that kid never misses a down.

And that’s why the split exists. Because the LHSAA can’t police itself.

more like because there are rules governing public school enrollment that are above the head of the LHSAA to change.

All speculation. Sounds like a bad game of telephone.

And yet the results and violations are now “hidden”

Sure the specific allegations are "hidden" but the consequences seem blatantly obvious. Athletic director, basketball staff, and football staff, all completely gone. Anybody involved was suspended for a year+, clearly. Frankly, this is the way it should be, the adults responsible should take the punishment, the kids shoudlnt be publicly shamed for a decision they did not make.

The football and basketball head coaches both left to become assistant coaches in college. Evidently that was their punishment for these violations.

Have other coaches been named publicly in the past for their violations, instead of being allowed to skip town without a peep?

And what about championships won under those coaches?

Did you want them to be banned from the sport??? I'm confused.

WAFB article makes it clear that the accusations arent "pay for play" type accusations. Its illegal contact violations.

Which player was this? A 36 AND a great athlete. I know it happens, but it is rare.

I found this article, but he was in the band...

36 on the ACT

Congrats to him though.
