He's made mistake after mistake and seems like he doesn't know what's going on half the time.

He is very goofy and awkward sometimes. It's part of the charm, but I could see why people don't like it.

Yet, he's still more enjoyable than Booger, Verne, Gary, and a number of other commentators we've had on TV over the years.

I like Romo but no commentator other than maybe Howard Cosell has done as much for football as Madden.
