Man, that's scary. The training and coaching staffs should be taken to task over this, and I would be saying that regardless of the team playing.

It will be interesting to see if he misses their next game, luckily for SC they have a couple extra days rest we'll see.

How in the hell could they clear him to continue playing? What would have happened if he took a helmet to helmet on his first play out there?

The coaches and trainers might not have seen the full stumble. It sounds impossible but watching from the sideline you would be surprised how easily you can miss things that aren't near the play especially since it looks like Woods is the one throwing the block.

You'd have to ask their medical staff who tested him and cleared him.

It was just so odd that he was back on the field after a couple of plays. Seems even if the trainers didn't see him stumbling around and falling over that someone would have alerted them to how bad it seemed.

Perhaps the sideline concussion test they administered is absolutely foolproof. However, even with some small chance that it's not it seems they would have at least brought him to the locker room until halftime.

It certainly made for uncomfortable viewing, as I'm sure I wasn't the only one cringing a bit every time he got tackled for the rest of the half. Again, odd considering that concussions are the hot button issue of the moment.

A coach on the field or in the box had to see it.

early to mid second quarter after a punt to USC

USC ended up kicking a FG that drive (Barkley almost threw the worst pick if his life actually because Woods ran the wrong route on the goal line on one of his first plays back in)

stupid medical staff

Should be automatically inactive for the rest of the game. With the current hubbub about concussions, you would think the staff would have known better. Potential future lawsuit right there.

I am shocked any staff would clear a player to return that quickly. I could maybe see if they made him sit out a few series but a couple plays? That is crazy.

Well, this is the same medical staff that said Jarvis Jones would never play again. That worked out wonderfully

Nah, they just didn't want to risk the lawsuit if he suffered a devastating paralysis injury...apparently Georgia didn't care and needed the help. At the time Jarvis wasn't a star on the USC team to risk it...but he goes to SEC and he's suddenly All-American.

Litigation paranoia. It really should be about the health of the athlete in question, but that's sketchy at best if you ask me.

Armond Armstead and Jarvis Jones were USC players at one time, docs say no, players go.

As far as this concussion thing goes, we're not out of the Woods yet.

Yes, he is, which is that the boobs in your avatar are not real. Which is kinda OK in this instance.
