In basketball, I agree, especially with the number of OOC games played, and the historical success of both schools. No reason we can't drop a Presbyterian, Delaware State, etc for Cincy. Football, it's not a rivalry at all, and there's really no reason to have it played every year.

It was, at one point.

They played 49 times, the first time in 1899 and the last in 1995, with several consecutive years of playing it.

And A&M even tried to be in the SEC at one point.

Another good rivalry that's going away is TCU/SMU

LSU-Rice. There is a history to this series and LSU benefits from this.

Indiana-Kentucky. They played each other in football back in the 80s and 90s and would be a nice compliment to their hoops series.

USC-Alabama. You can argue that this series saved SEC football.
