What makes you think I get my news from only those places? You are so wrapped up in groupthink. I've seen you make a few blatant group think posts bringing politics into threads today. Nothing healthy about the way you think.

Per Wikipedia, from 2006. Not sure why we can't discuss that obvious problem.

This is a weird thread. Sherman basically says the same thing this board says about the Kaep "blackballed" ordeal, but people seem to have a problem with it.

What Bosa tweeted was no big deal. What Sherman said was no big deal. San Francisco has major societal problems like most other major cities.

Wow that is really condescending. Great idea to basically tell the media that your new teammate might be racist because he supports Trump/doesn't support Kaep's kneeling, but he if he plays well it will be okay and he should be able to at least "maneuver around African Americans."

Have you been recently? Many enjoyable aspects of this historic city (Golden Gate area is nice, plan to go to Oracle Park later this yr) but it's a dump in many ways right now. Hard to be shocked by a whole lot if you're a native of Louisiana, but there are large swaths of homeless people everywhere you go, and I saw multiple people shooting up out in the open a block away from Twitter headquarters last time I was there. It also smells like weed and shite everywhere you go, including the business district.

Also he's of Italian lineage and grew up in south Florida before he went to school in Ohio. You sound ignorant as frick.

He was asked if he thought Bosa and his tweets/likes would be an issue. He answered, and he's right.

You can be a racist and still work with black/white/whatever people, but if you get along at work, that's all that really matters at work.

Ehhh Bosa is a 21 year old living in the Bay Area, he'll turn once he figures out have society actually works.

So, he's going to start shitting on public sidewalks? That society?

He's not calling Bosa a racist. He saying if he's cool around teammates, his teammates won't go digging beyond that.

He's doing a smart thing in saying old tweets don't matter. I really don't see the offensive part here, unless you expected Sherman to go to bat for Bosa's personal character when he's known the guy for all of like 25 minutes.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head here.

Seems like a pretty reasonable take.

That being said, I don't really get the uproar about Bosa's stuff either.

It's entirely reasonable, but people like being pissed off at Sherman, in my view.

Richard Sherman on rookie, new 49ers teammate Nick Bosa

I'd love to have been a reporter present and asked Sherm a followup about how he connected the dots from twitter Trump supporter to "not saying he can't be racist" and watch him stammer as he searches for an answer that isn't debunkable, it's all bullshite and the greatest defamation anyone can commit against anyone

Sure they could be racist, not arguing that. I just think its ridiculous for Sherman to go there talking about his new teammate. It's not normal behavior to say this about your new teammate:

quote:

"Now, if he’s a bad teammate, that’s something we’ll address."

quote:

"At the end of the day, I think a guy that has played with African Americans his whole life, not saying he can’t be racist, but they know how to maneuver around African Americans,"

It's just strange to throw that out there about Bosa before the guy has even reported to camp / probably before Sherman has even met him.

I can't imagine telling my new co-worker on his first day... "Hey man nice to meet you, just want you to know if you are a bad co-worker that is something we are going to address, and you might be racist but you have worked with white people before so I'm sure you know how to maneuver around us. Want to grab lunch?"

It's just abnormal. Sherman seems like a strange and awkward dude sometimes.

Richard making noise to remain relevant, Richard simply needs to STFU before 49ers cut his arse for being that guy ie locker room divider and team chemistry destroyer...
