Isn't that word-for-word what the MSB said about the Kaep situation?

Laughable. If anything the exorbitant tax rates and attacks from San Fran socialists will just reaffirm his already based beliefs.

I guess "society" doesn't actually "work" in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

What a stupid arse thing to say.

I'm surprised people are offended by this. Sherman's just saying if Bosa can play and be cool with teammates, no one will care beyond that.

He's saying: "We all know he's a racist, but as long as he gets to the QB, and doesnt act racist around us, that's fine"

I think you're projecting a lot. There were stories about Bosa's old tweets/likes and controversy about whether they were racist or racially charged.

Sherman's saying the same thing this board frequently does, that if he is a good player and teammate, no one should get offended by old Twitter or turn those old tweets into a referendum on whether Bosa is a secret racist.

"He knows how to maneuver around African Americans."

How am I projecting? Those are his words.

It's not about his Ohio State background.

It's that anyone that even thinks about liking President Trump is an auto-racist.

Bosa caught more flak for the other stuff than the pro-Trump stance, IMO.

Granted, the other stuff isn't overt whatsoever, and making a big deal out of it was dumb.

I’m missing what Nick Bosa did exactly that was so bad he needs to be defended... he doesn’t suck Colin Kaepernicks dick like the rest of the NFL?

He's not calling Bosa a racist. He saying if he's cool around teammates, his teammates won't go digging beyond that.

He's doing a smart thing in saying old tweets don't matter. I really don't see the offensive part here, unless you expected Sherman to go to bat for Bosa's personal character when he's known the guy for all of like 25 minutes.

Beyond that, he just told Bosa it doesn't matter what his old tweets say, it matters how he interacts with teammates. Nothing odd there.

Dows anyone disagree with him?

He’s basically saying no one cares out your politics if your good.

If Kaep wasn’t an overrated backup QB and instead was a franchise player he would still be in the league.

There are lots of better players still playing who kneeled.

Sherman then basically says he doesn’t expect the guy to go around fighting his black teammates because even racists who play football know how to deal with their teammates

To me it reads that Sherman doesn't think he's a racist at all. But overall, yes it seems that Sherman is saying play well and nothing else really matters.

Yeah I don't really get the uproar over Sherman's comments:

quote:

“One thing about football is that nobody really cares what you say if you can play,” Sherman told The Bee on Monday following a speaking event for the Body Armor sports drink, in which Sherman is an investor. “At the end of the day, I think a guy that has played with African Americans his whole life, not saying he can’t be racist, but they know how to maneuver around African Americans.”

quote:

When you’re at Ohio State, it’s not like Ohio State’s an all-white school. So I don’t think that’s going to ever be an issue,” Sherman said. “I think, at the end of the day, your beliefs are your beliefs … but when you’re in the building and you’re a football player and you’re a teammate, you handle yourself accordingly. And I think he understands that.”

quote:

“It’s not like something where guys are like, ‘Hey man, what about what you said?’ No. No. If he can play, he can play. If he can’t play, he won’t be here,” Sherman said. “But at the end of the day, that’s all that matters in football. Is he getting sacks on Sunday? Is he helping our team? Is he being a good teammate? Those are things that matter.

Seems like a pretty reasonable take.

That being said, I don't really get the uproar about Bosa's stuff either.

When it comes to fixing social issues around the country absolutely it is. You need to quit getting your San Francisco news from the OT and Poli board.

NB4 - I've been to San Fran and there was shite all over the streets from homeless people.

What do you think San Francisco has figured out? Seriously.

The housing market has priced away most of their problems. That's about it.

Like wage inequality? San Fran fricks poor people and minorities in the arse harder than anywhere else

ETA: I love San Fran and the PT board and rednecks are morons when it comes to the city, but your take is awful too
