Started earlier this week when Jay Gruden (former Washington coach, not Jon) tweeted:

quote:

If I ever put a QB through what Philly is putting Jalen through, I apologize. Pick up a blitz!

RG3 responded with a picture of him in disbelief with the caption:

quote:

Say WHATTTT?

Then it really took off. The back and forth:

Jay: U weren’t prepared, Robert?

RG3: You told me you didn’t know how to coach a QB who could throw and run like me, so looks like you weren’t prepared Jay.

Jay: You are right. We didn’t have a good enough staff. Sorry. Hope all is well with ya.

On his podcast, RG3 then told a story about how Jay never had his back in Washington and threw him under the bus to the media and teammates. The clip found its way to Jay, who got back at it:

quote:

You really wanna play this game?

And off we went again:

RG3: I’m not playing any games, I’m retired. You have a free invite to come on the show and discuss. Face to face. I know where all your bodies are buried Jay. Don’t play with me.

Jay: You weren’t good enough. Kirk [Cousins] was better. Cleveland didn’t want you. Baltimore [didn’t] either. Quit blaming me. Go race a pigeon.

And that's where we stand.

I can't see Jay Gruden ever getting another job with a football team.

RG3 never misses an opportunity to remind people he use to play in the NFL

I like RG3 enough but you can tell he's been frustrated for awhile with how his career went (understandable with the injury)

However, he's passing all the blame onto others

ETA: Gruden should have hit him with a "you like that!"

RG3 the media personality is awful. However I wish we could’ve seen what he would’ve done had he stayed healthy

if its anyone he needs to blame, its 100% shanahan for ruining his career/knee.

then its also his fault for not being able to learn how to read a defense

not that i advocate for this sort of thing but i went to the A&M\Baylor game and told my wife and friends hit him early and often. take a few roughing the passers and he'll fold.

A&M did that and he had his worst game of his Heisman year.

no hate for him, but complete glass jaw. he's off his rocker here. i'm usually an RGIII defender.

Such a good dig, they had an all star coaching staff.
