Isn't Brees' mother a wing nut? Maybe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

When the hell is the last time you saw jewelry appreciate in value? Like cars, they lose their value once they go home with the customer

I wouldn't expect a 1.5ct diamond that sits on some random ladies finger for 20 years to gain value but a one of a kind diamond that cannot be found or replicated anywhere else could certainly gain value.

They had a falling out after he didn't allow her to be his agent. Sounds like they briefly mended things before her suicide in 09.

are you kidding me? drew brees is a complete idiot if he paid him 4 mil. for a jewel and didn't have it appraised by a 3rd party competent professional.

Im not saying he is good with money or bad, Ive got no information to gain such an opinion other than knowing some of his limited public investments.. I will say that buying diamonds as an investment isnt some foreign or completely idiotic endeavor. Buying clear diamonds is of lessor value unless you are talking smaller carat bulk diamonds that are meant for resell on the jewelry market much like many other commodities.. Even then, you are talking about a low growth entity. Colored diamonds are different and can appreciate or depreciate rapidly in the market place. They have value in both as a commodity and the open marketplace due to their uniqueness.
