Lombardi is a truly gifted podcast host and would probably be okay in a consulting role (NFL), but hes clearly not a serious GM at this stage of his life.
the GM Shuffle doesn't break 50 views a week now I believe.

Belichek 100% fleeced UNC. He never had any intention of actually sticking around there.

The dreaded vote of confidence statement....

Oh how I regret not taking the bet on under 7.5 wins this season. I knew it before the season it was probably easy money but I was like eh maybe they could get 8 with their schedule and the ACC. Damnit.

Coaches don’t usually survive after the vote of confidence.

They basically said they were going to run the program like it was a "pro" team.
Belichick isn’t even running the team like he did when he was in the pros.

I'm sure he will not be too disappointed to part ways.

To add insult to injury, members of Belichick's coaching staff are also already preparing to flee with some even reaching out to programs that are expected to make it to the CFB playoffs about potential roles, the report adds.
Any good offensive guys that LSU could pick up?

You realize he’s still going to be the coach there next year?

I don’t know it’s a $1 million buyout and it sounds like he’ll take it and go back to tv

LINK: A hollow vote of confidence caps Bill Belichick's most absurd week yet at UNC (and it's only Thursday)
quote:
These Belichick lowlights from the last 11 days say it all - Belichick was spotted on Nantucket during UNC's pre-Clemson bye weekend the weekend of Sept 28. The headline in the New York Post: Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson retreat to Nantucket for romantic getaway on UNC's bye week.
- A 1,400 page letter Sept. 29 from Lombardi to high-level UNC donors obtained by CBS Sports in which college football's highest paid front office person outlined the future of the program's roster and a plan to sign 40 freshman to make up for hewn out 2022, 2023, and 2024 classes that didn't stay together because of a perfect storm including "players no longer caring about colors, shoes, education or a great campus." There were personal anecdotes about his love for the Philadelphia 76ers but disdain for Sam Hinkie's losing-to-win mentality. Lombardi has butchered putting a competitive roster on the field this year, which he ascribed to the fact that he and Belichick got there in early December.

He might not be the coach next week.
