I’d run Gibbs all 4 downs.

Why didn't Campbell call a timeout? Or would it have not mattered?

Once offense breaks the huddle it’s a penalty.

Why was that a first down? That's terrible rule

It was 4th and a short 2 from the five yard line. Penalty is half the distance to the goal which makes it a first down. It wasn't an automatic first down. If it had been 4th and 3 it would not have been a first down.

That 12 men on the field penalty to give Washington a first down on a 4th & 2 is going to be talked about a lot this week.

Unless Detroit wins, then it will be conveniently forgotten like all of Dan Campbell's dipshit mistakes.

I thought one of Campbell's dumbass 4th down play would cost the Lions like last year, but that wasn't really what I had in mind.

Exactly!

Plenty of time. Let's not act like Was has really stopped Det. If not for the turnovers, Was would likely be behind. Just need to close it out but it's still a game.

Dan Campbell getting Dan Campbell’d by his opposition is not what I expected tonight.

Why does the NFL brass and puppet-masters historically hate the Lions so much?

Or are they simply doing a LA Rams shameless redux and promoting and pushing forward and highlighting and legitimizing the Redskins rebranding?

Exactly. That’s usually how they win. Teams getting out of their comfort zone to try and go for it on 4th down. The difference here is Washington also plays that game and plays it well.
