I can’t for the life of me understand why MLB doesn’t make the northern baseball franchises start off on the road? If you look at attendance for most outdoor northern franchises...it’s abismal for the first month or so until the weather starts to break. Who wants to go watch a baseball game in 30 degree weather?

Not sure how Charlotte doesn’t have an MLB team

I'm not in any way joking when I say I forget the Reds are a baseball franchise for about 11.5 of the 12 months every year.

You are proposing like half of the franchises play the entire first month on the road and you don’t understand the obvious logistical and competitive issues associated with this

Nobody showed in Minute Maid tonight to watch baseball tonight. Literally nobody.

I grew up a Braves fan and they were on ESPN last night. I turned the channel. I'm no longer a fan of this sport outside of the playoffs.

I am sorry. They have improved the product tremendously the past few years.

the reds start every year at home no matter what.

they had the largest crowd in GABP regular season history on thursday and the lowest crowd ever tonight. it was cold, monday night, and everyone is still hung over from thursday after partaking in the best opening day in baseball.

don't get me wrong, there will be some paltry crowds this year, but just sharing some information.

The Carolinas is minor league territory. Charlotte is a NEW big city. They missed out during the two expansions baseball has had in recent (but not really) history.

Who do you suggest moves to Charlotte?

The general answer to any MLB relocation question should be Tampa.

I’d throw Miami in there but the problem there has generally been ownership who wins and then has a fire sale on talent, not the fans. Tampa, OTOH, doesn’t really have fans.
