I still do not understand this trade. Shields isn't some pitcher that will be the centerpiece of their rotation for years to come. He's 31. And Davis has been fairly inconsistent.
Pretty good trade for Tampa though. Avoid having to pay Shields and get a great hitting prospect when they are loaded with young pitchers.

yeah i agree. not too bad to get 2 guys in the rotation for a couple prospects, even if one of them was wil myers. the royals system is loaded and the rotation sucks so much dick.
