I don’t get the Romo hate. Can he be a little over the top? Sure. I like the passion he brings to booth. Olsen is good sounds natural. Brady is improving. His voice is just weird. It’s funny that you know he wants to rip bad QB play but he holds back. Collingsworth is steady. Kind of bland but knowledgeable. I have never cared for Aikmen. Don’t really know why just find his commentary boring. I know it’s just my hang up but Herbie is a college guy so it’s odd having him call the pros. He does a good enough job though.

Collinsworth is head and shoulders better than anyone in the business.
I like Romo next, then you can just put the rest in a bag and set that bag on top of Tom Brady who is just awful.

I also don’t mind Lou Riddick when he gets a chance

I wish they would get rid of the color commentators. They talk too much and it really isn’t necessary. They like to show us how smart they are by guessing the next play that is 30 seconds away from happening.
I mute most but all Romo games.

I used to find him grating, now he sounds like a songbird compared to the others. Sure he can be hyperbolic and wax poetic about the game but the man stood on the sidelines during the John Candy game and watched Joe Montana steal his Super Bowl trophy in the final minute. So when he appreciates something, it's based in honesty.

Olsen's OK but he's kinda generic and his voice is annoying. Even on Russillo's pdcast he's not that informative.
I like Moose and Romo. Moose used to be the hip guy. He got shuffled back over the years but I don't really think anything's changed with him.

I know this thread is about color guys but watching MNF and Joe Buck is criminally underrated and even more underappreciated.

Just give me back Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth on SNF.

I said this the other day. I watched The Replacements for the first time in a while and it really made me miss John and Pat. Reminds me of my grandfather. He hated Madden but loved Pat Summerall. Anytime we were over there on a Sunday we’d watch those games and he’d complain about Madden. Good memories.

Everybody knows Joe Buck and nobody has anything bad to say about him

I really like Herbstreit but he’s the voice of college football. It’s as if his voice doesn’t fit in pro ball … not because he’s not good, but because I can’t disassociate him from college football.

Olsen/Aikman/Collinsworth at the top
Romo (just let the game breathe, Tony. Geez)
Brady (sounds awkward and I'm not sure it's going to get better)

Aikman is as exciting as syphilis. Brady talks way too much and rambles on about nothing.
And Herbie is just too much of a vag I can't take seriously.

I can't imagine how young you'd have to be to think this is true.

Exactly how I feel, although Brady will get better with experience. Romo definitely has good insight but can definitely tone it back a little
