Saints won the game, but I definitely came away thinking that the Vikings were a slightly better team. That was the worst loss I have ever experienced as a sports fan. McCray should have been flagged a couple more times for his bounty hits. 2003 Cubs collapse is second.

I think it's pretty obvious that Minnesota outplayed New Orleans in that game, but I do think the Saints were the best team all year. Here's a few stats from that game:

You know as well as I do that McCray is a fricking piece of shite. He repeatedly hit Favre late and it was almost never called (due to the game being in New Orleans).

They were a heavy favorite to beat KC and got wiped out. That was their best shot. Also, they lost in the playoffs on a hail mary to Dallas.

You are right that I am still sad away about the Vikings blowing this game.
However, the better team and the winner is not always the same thing. That is all I am saying. You would be hard-pressed to objectively think the Saints were a superior team after watching that game.

I don't think the better team turns the ball over four times more than the opposition.
