Boofrickingwho. Maybe if Favre weren't such a dumbass with that INT to Porter, they would have been "the best in the NFC" that year.

Uh, it's the Vikings fault they didn't get the ball in overtime.

They didn't play good defense, So.....

See I thought you were gonna go with a bounty troll but you hit the juke button and got me with a OT rules troll. Good work/stupidity by you.

Saints won the game, but I definitely came away thinking that the Vikings were a slightly better team. That was the worst loss I have ever experienced as a sports fan. McCray should have been flagged a couple more times for his bounty hits.

2003 Cubs collapse is second.

They choked just like it was the 1970's all over again.

Fran was a great QB he just happen to be playing the Steel Curtain in one of his best years

Not to mention the Dolphins in '73 and one of the best Raider teams of all time in '76

And there it is.

Where is lsu480? I think he should chime in so that way we can here how the 09 saints weren't even the 2nd best team in the NFC.

I think it's pretty obvious that Minnesota outplayed New Orleans in that game, but I do think the Saints were the best team all year. Here's a few stats from that game:

First Downs: MIN 31 NO 15
Yards: MIN 475 NO 257
Plays: MIN 82 NO 55
Turnovers: MIN 5 NO 1

Favre's second straight awful NFCCG cost him two trips to the Super Bowl.

You know as well as I do that McCray is a fricking piece of shite. He repeatedly hit Favre late and it was almost never called (due to the game being in New Orleans).

Here are the stats from the game:

Box Score

The Vikings dominated practically every aspect of the game. However, the Saints importantly won three things. The turnover battle, the coin toss, and the game itself. There is no doubt that the Vikings significantly outplayed them.

Some call it a Minnesota collapse, most call it opportunistic defense - a trait of that defense all year.

eta: and one more thing

They were a heavy favorite to beat KC and got wiped out. That was their best shot. Also, they lost in the playoffs on a hail mary to Dallas.

if you dont win the TO battle, you aren't dominating shite.

i dont see why people are holding it against the Saints, the fact they forced these turnovers.

You are right that I am still sad away about the Vikings blowing this game.

However, the better team and the winner is not always the same thing. That is all I am saying. You would be hard-pressed to objectively think the Saints were a superior team after watching that game.

I don't think the better team turns the ball over four times more than the opposition.
