He does and will be and if Profar wasn't on the Rangers I would be pretty comfortable with Kinsler being our everyday 2B for the forseeable future.

Kinsler can actually play defense, take a walk, steal bases, and hit for power so he actually has other skills that will allow him to continue to be a solid player as he ages.

Plus he isn't having to babysit Josh this year. That has to help.

Why was Tepesch given the 5th starter spot? I'm not a Rangers fan, so I'm not sure what he did to wow management into giving him a rotation spot.

Let's do this! Can't wait for the game to get started. I wanted to go down to Houston tonight for the game but have to be at work early tomorrow.

Had to be Perez' broken arm. Or Feliz being on the DL (why did they re-sign him? )

Ross should have been put in the rotation. I picked him up in a couple leagues hoping he would get a spot.

You aren't really losing much with Perez. I hate him

Perez is injured. When Lewis gets back in May, he'll be the 5th guy

Good thing you aren't a GM. Kinsler isn't a bargain but he is getting paid fair market value for an All-Star level 2B.

Well good thing I watch way more Rangers games than you do.

He strikes out too much, he's lazy, he doesn't hustle half the time and his attitude is shite. I'm not a fan. And sorry I don't jerk off to paying a guy who is leading off and hitting .255 with an OBP sub .330 $15 million a year.

But I guess you know better.

This is the official opening day roster per Newberg:

PITCHERS (11): Yu Darvish, Jason Frasor, Matt Harrison, Derek Holland, Michael Kirkman, Derek Lowe, Joe Nathan, Alexi Ogando, Joe Ortiz, Robbie Ross, Tanner Scheppers
CATCHERS (2): A.J. Pierzynski, Geovany Soto
INFIELDERS (6): Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, Lance Berkman, Leury Garcia, Ian Kinsler, Mitch Moreland
OUTFIELDERS (6): Jeff Baker, Julio Borbon, Nelson Cruz, Craig Gentry, Leonys Martin, David Murphy

Borbon will be off and Tepesch added before his 1st start

I would think Borbon has some trade value. Not much but some.

Obviously when June rolls around I look for the Rangers to be very aggressive in the trade market.

And everybody pans the job the Rangers did in the offseason.

But keep in mind their biggest acquisition: Dave Magadan, the hitting coach. I think he will help improve the offense.

Julio Borbon = Jose Tabata

I was hoping he would become a player for us but it's okay. Didn't like the pick when he was drafted either.

It's Leonys Martin time.

Martin is going to be an awesome player. He showed some flashes last year, but as Washington is apt to do, he was not given consistent playing time.

Sucks we can't fit Gentry in the lineup for more at bats. He's like the right handed Brett Gardner. We should get at least 50 SB's from our CF'ers this year.

I'm fine with that. The other one is an Astros thread anyways.
