He has a point, and honestly, that article should be the end of it. They are doing this legally, and by athletics only. Its a branding reason, and they should be able to do it (they are able to do it), so everyone should just deal with it. It's not that big of a deal. ULM had their chance to do it and they decided not to. It doesn't matter how much they call themselves "Louisiana", they will never be on the level of LSU (no offense), so why does everyone care so much?

If you are calling on a company, supposedly a partnership owned by Brown, Smith, and Jones; and the name of the company is Brown Company, who would you think is in charge and the person you should talk to?
This is thirty years of back door moves at attempting to gain something the cajuns can't gain through up-front, legitimate methods.
If the state should decide it needs a second comprehensive university, that should be determined and designated by the legislature. Not by those who simply want it.
