I was born early 80s so Marty Schottenheimer is the guy that comes to mind. I've seen plenty of older games and such but when I was growing up there was a lot of emphasis on him.

From my hometown.

The others that would come to mind are Buck Buchanan, Ed Podolak, Jan Stenerud.

Len Dawson followed closely by Buck Buchanan, Willie Lanier, and Elmo Wright(the inventor of the touchdown dance/celebratory move, crude as his was). That makes me then recall Otis Taylor, Jan Stenerud, Bobby Bell and Curly Culp. I was a Chiefs fan when I was a kid, Dawson in particular (honestly, I was kind of schizophrenic with my fandom in elementary school).

Yeah, I'm old.

Looking back at the roster of the 69 Chiefs I see their starting center was Remi Prudohmme from Opelousas and an LSU alum. Also, Tom FLores, future Raiders coach, was a backup QB
