Great stand by St. Aug's D and quite a few clutch passes by St. Aug's QB. Truly a team victory. St. Aug was definitely the better team.

Woah now, you haven't won the state game quite yet.

On one hand, yes, Aug won and had some amazing plays and they are the favorites for state. On the other hand it took a bye week and for Curtis to play a ridiculous schedule beforehand to beat them by one point. Aug is bigger at every position. In reality, Curtis won't be challenged again till the semis and Aug needs to outplay their coaching. I think both win state, but nothing matters till then.

He's such a joke he had a dynasty at South Plaq and now they're just another team...

I'll say this... St. Aug will be too worn down and banged up to win state... Byrd and Holy Cross have been the best teams so far in that division and Byrd will have several easier games that they can rest and have a fresher team in November. If the catholic league teams are smart, they treat the regular season like it doesn't matter bc it don't

So what is it.. St. "Aug-uh-steen" or St. "Uh-gus-tin"?
Posted on 10/5/13 at 12:42 am to PrimeTime Money
Seriously man? You ain't never heard someone say st. Augustine?
Posted on 10/5/13 at 12:43 am to BigEdLSU
Everyone I've heard says Aug-uh-steen.
But Stan Verrett on Sportscenter said "Uh-gus-tin"... and he went there.

Honestly, it varies. You will hear it pronounced both ways.
I tend to say Uh-Gus-tine
