Brock Purdy is looking like a top 5 QB right now. Not bad as the last pick of the draft.

He said “one of the best” not arguing that Tom Brady is worse

It's not all about arm strength and running like a gazelle.

There's something still to be said for a quarterback who processes quickly and throws with accuracy.

He also has an uncanny ability to escape pressure. Shades of Fran Tarkenton.

I feel like every one and a while Shannahan and that FO think about the Trey Lance trade and pick and just laugh at how they got bailed out.

Ah yes. The 32nd pick vs the 262nd pick

The way he throws the ball is strange. They all look like floaters and some are hospital passes but somehow it hits the receiver every time and he does it consistently. It is working somehow.

What stood out to me yesterday is how he could escape pressure and then compose himself to make a throw when the play seemed doomed.

Speedy,

Yeah let’s just never talk about any qb ever again bc Brady exists.

Proof you can strike it rich late in draft
Watch the qb at Indiana this season
He could be the next to get drafted late

He would be if he had thrown to Aiyuk more last night.

Yea, that's not the point he's making. Brees was the 32nd pick, Purdy was drafted where almost every person drafted at that spot never even steps on the field.

I've never been a San Francisco fan, but last night Purdy was just, plain fun to watch.

I'd argue these are still more important. If the first thing out of someone's mouth when talking about a QB is their legs, I immediately shut down. People have gone full retard in terms of scouting that position.
