Virginia was bad because they were the first to ever lose to a 16 seed, but UMBC was actually decent. They gave an eventual Elite 8 team Kansas State a run for their money in the second round.

Fairleigh Dickinson is just embarrassing.

We did lose by 20 though. Was bad.

But yes, UMBC was much better than FDU and we were missing Hunter, who was by far our most dynamic player.

Purdue might be the weakest #1 seed in the last 25 years and it isn't 100% surprising that they lost. FDU was +23 and won by 5, UMBC was +20.5 and won by 20.

Hell, even FDU's coach was confident enough to say it to the media. Purdue looked 100% beatable in a ton of games this year.

NO ONE expected UMBC to beat Virginia that year.

Fdu was down 42-9 to richmond in the first half earlier this season. Crazy

And, thanks to LSU, aren’t they also tied for worst Bowl game loss, as well?

And this was Fairleigh Dickinson. Just imagine how bad it would've been if Purdue had to play Mostly Dickinson.

The best was the timeout and drawing up a play down 5 with 0.6 seconds left

Purdue was a super weak 1 seed. This isn't as surprising as some make it out to be. Big10 basketball and all

FDU didn't even win their conference tourney either. The best team in their conference was ineligible since it was their first year moving up from D2.

They have the worst 3 year stretch in NCAA tournament history for sure. This is the 3rd straight year, they've lost to a 13 seed or lower.

Maybe Purdue's. And before that, Auburn beat them in 2018 63-14. It was 56-7 at halftime in the Auburn game lol.

UGA owns the biggest margin of victory in a bowl game with their Natty over TCU this year. 65-7

It was, until Georgia beat TCU 65-7 a week after LSU’s 63-7 win over Purdue

I was thinking what is this weirdo, dumb frick doing? It wasn’t something sadistic or sinister by letting them stew in it, and he wasn’t swapping out players to put in bench warmers. He was actually drawing up a play line he thought that they could still win. Maybe he had money on the game?
