Still no idea what they will do with NTC's. I think you should be forced to protect them, or get player to waive. But no free passes. Also, the rule I've heard is not number of years of service but whether they are on an ELC or not. If a player is still on his entry-level contract, then automatically protected without counting against the cap. So... the Oilers wouldn't need to protect Conner McDavid.

Seguin out 3-4 weeks with a cut achilles. Huge loss for the Stars. Could have to go through the first 2 rounds of the playoffs without him.

Preds fighting for a top spot in the central. Points in 16 of the last 17 games.

Man that sucks. At least it's not Benn?

Hopefully the preds keep winning. The Rangers are pissing me off by continuing to play guys that aren't delivering.

Preds took one on the chin tonight. But, it's Washington and Rinne had the night off.

Get back to Bridgestone and get rolling again.

Damn.....he hasn't been great the last 3 weeks or so. If Benn can get going and Spezza keep up his pace they'll be OK. In reality, Stars will be lucky to win their first round matchup.

Pens crush the Flyers 4-1 in Philly.

Move ahead of the Islanders by a point , for now.

Avs still fighting hard against Minnesota for the 8th spot in the west, even with Landeskog and Matty D down. Mikkel Boedker has been amazing since coming over.

Depth is an issue, but Denmark has a very good core of NHL players: Nielsen, Hansen, Andersen, Boedker, Ehlers, and Eller.

Rutherford made some iffy moves at times, I guess all GM's aren't going to nail every thing, but the acquisitions of Carl Hagelin and Trevor Daley for next to nothing, has completely saved the Penguins season.

Well that and the 2nd half Crosby has had.

Make that now a 12 game point streak for Sid The Kid and now up to the #3 leading scorer in the NHL.

I don't know if anyone caught this the other night, but tied 1-1 in the second period the other night the Avs gave up TWO shorthanded goals. On the SAME 2:00 power play. I don't think I have ever seen that before. They came back and won so it's funny but that was bizarre. And the Flames have the worst penalty kill in hockey.

This game is fricking crazy. Scrums every whistle.

Even Oshie/Crosby throwing punches at each other.
