Sucks that Hunter got injured behind a blatant late hit, but players on both sides were being shitheads throughout the game.

I like Deion, but I was more disappointed in his son going for an eye poke. I didn't like seeing that from him.

That's one way to put it. Another would be, "Hunter was injured on the play and a penalty was called, but it's football and stuff happens. Knock off the bullshite."

Deion did put it that way, too.

"Henry Blackburn is a good player who played a phenomenal game," Sanders said Tuesday. "He made a tremendous hit on Travis on the sideline. You could call it dirty, you could call it, 'He was just playing the game of football.' But whatever it was, it does not constitute that he should be receiving death threats.

Yes. It's called a rivalry. Been that way a long time.

Hence the "too" as the forgiveness part was in another post, but here are his full comments:

"Henry Blackburn is a good player who played a phenomenal game," Sanders said. "He made a tremendous hit on Travis on the sideline. You can call it dirty, you can call it ‘he was just playing the game of football.’

"But whatever it was, it does not constitute that he should be receiving death threats. This is still a young man trying to make it in life. A guy that is trying to live his dream and hopefully graduate with honors or a degree, committed to excellence and go to the NFL. He does not deserve a death threat over a game."

"At the end of the day, this is a game. Someone must win, someone must lose," Sanders continued. "Everybody continues their life the next day. Very unfortunate. I’m saddened if there’s any of our fans that are on the other side of those threats. I would hope and pray not, but that kid was just playing to the best of his ability and he made a mistake.

"So, I forgive him, our team forgives him. Travis, he’s forgiven him. Let’s move on, but that kid does not deserve that."

Prime is filling the void left by trump very nicely. I am loving it.

That Deion Sanders is sure about himself and not anyone else, right MSB?

Deion is Deion, but this is all pretty much boiling down to white on black as does everything in this backwards country.

The hit didn’t even look that bad. Late, and definitely deserving of a flag, but the hit itself didn’t look all that bad.

Well it put a kid in the hospital and out for multiple games. So probably was pretty bad.

yep, I agree, he crushed him in the midsection, a hit like that not only knocks the wind out of you and makes you feel like you dying because I been there. But he probably broke a rib or 2 or something else if he's about to miss multiple games. I'm suprised he didn't get tossed out of the game because it looked like targeting to me because he wasn't playing the ball at all. He was just staring the player down and went straight at him with the hit.

People REALLY need to learn how to watch games & understand reaction realities vs. "late" hits.

Henry Blackburn was already committed to delivering a hit on Travis. Had Travis caught that ball = the hit would be perfectly timed & likely would've resulted in the same injury.

We can't go & now test this be/c the human element now plays a bigger factor. Kind of like the pilot tests of the Sully plane landing when they immediately took the bird strike & headed back to the airport(s).

Henry has LESS than 0.5 second to peel off & avoid contacting Travis Hunter. It's a very hard thing to do & not worth any of the threats/BS he's experiencing.

Friend,

I really hope either Tulane or LSU can convince Coach Prime to come coach for either school. He would be a credit to Louisiana's best colleges.

Forgiving someone implies someone did something warranting the need for forgiveness. I agree it was a late hit and deserved a penalty, but I'm not so sure it was as egregiously malicious as what's being assumed.

He's communicating with the idiots that are threatening this guy. THEY think the kid did something wrong and he's imploring them to forgive him and move on.
