Personally I’d love to watch the pros play that tournament with no people, grandstands, etc. Just the players and the beautiful course itself.

It would also affect the shots the players have. How many players who have iffy lies go for the green in two on 15 and block their shot into that grandstand on the right side of the green? Where in the hell are those balls going to end up without them there? Same with pulls on the second shot on 18.

Worst case they play with no fans. Every golfer worth a shite is already in the states for the TPC so travel restrictions won't be a factor. Besides the entire golf world has licked ANGC's taint about how beautiful the course is for over 75 years. Now the world will get a chance to see it what it really looks like the other 51 weeks of the year when it doesn't have grandstands all over it. Maybe they can also do away with TV towers since there will be plenty of room for the TV crew to wander around the course. No baseball, basketball, or hockey, they will be the sole focus of the entire sports world that week and will end up with the television ratings to prove it. No way they will pass that up.

I too won the Master’s lottery for the first time. Read on the bottom line on ESPN that the PGA is going fanless and set a date for the policy to be in place until April 5th which would be the Sunday of Masters week. So if things die down with the virus they may still let Patrons attend but ANGC hasn’t sent any other emails out other than the one previously posted about. Something tells me they want Patrons there but if they don’t I’d understand.

The most likely event TO BE HELD is the Masters. Those guys march to their own beat and literally couldn't care less what anyone else says. They are NOT part of the PGA, therefore they don't have to abide by any regulations set forth by them.
IMO, the Master's WILL go on and be the first major sporting event to triumphantly return.
