Agree with above. NCAA should place schools as necessary for the tournament. Then let the individual schools figure out how to handle their politics.

Does this mean that some schools earned a regional who otherwise would not have? If so that is a pretty big deal

The ridiculousness of the travel ban notwithstanding, it's super dumb because the teams can travel with the use of private funds, just not public funds.

No, not in this year's bracket. But it did affect where the NCAA selection committee could send non-hosts.

Honestly, sending a team to one of those states is probably exactly what the liberals wanted. The NCAA prevented it from becoming a story. I think it's ridiculous and kind of wish the NCAA called California's bluff, but the blowback wouldn't have been worth it for a non-revenue sport like college baseball. It also wouldn't have been fair to the kids on those teams.

they should not be catering to these states. Just don't let them play in the tournament
