How are your negotiations to extend him coming (or are you guys even trying to)?

We've had some early talks, assuming he has another solid year, he isn't leaving St Louis, no chance.

Sounds good to me, I think he'll hit 20 bombs between Great American, Wrigley, and Miller Park though.

I was at that game in the bottom Soler gif...he crushed two balls that series.

Also, that's an excellent pick. I really want to see his progress this season.

I don't think he will ever Develop the power for his build. A high of 25 may be his limit but 15-20 a year is feasible.
as long as his defense stay he will be a solid 4+ WAR player

I could see a 20-25 average for a few years with our lineup.

It has been proven over and over the line up doesn't matter especially a guy who only hit 20+ once in 5 years. I could see a high of 25 but not consistent 20-25 home runs a years.
Holiday and Molina are aging so Cards need Wong/Heyward

his swing is sooo violent

I say the same thing about Matt Holliday. Looks like he's going to tear something every time he swings the bat.

Our LF, I'm just hoping we don't combine again this year to be the worst.

It definitely matters, he's far from done being developed at 25 we'll take good care of him don't you worry. I could for sure see 20-25 on average for a couple of years, could be the low side 20-22 and maybe one year of 25 or something, put he'll have more pop a few years in STL.

He's the replacement for Holliday anyways, it's why he's a lock to be resigned long term in STL knowing that after next season Holliday's $17 million is off the books. As Holliday will be about to hit 37, it's a perfect swap honestly. Grichuk or top prospect Piscotty will be ready for a shot by then or a mid level free agent for LF.

Jose Iglesias. Started to love him two years ago, even though his bat sucks, but he may be too injury prone for a decent career.
