I am pleased there are at least ten (10) others that disagree with OP, respectfully.

You can frick right off and I pray for the coach that has to deal with you arse in 4 years. I bet it’s more than one. You will be a know it all and leave for greener pastures and end up in the same situation. I see it every day every yea

You don’t know shite about me or my “daddy” style. Bet it will be one school, if my kid doesn’t play, that’s on him, needs to get better. But the coaches at the schools around me, atleast I would send my kid to, actually understand hitting, launch angle etc

quote:

Travel ball is shite level baseball. A blind deaf man could coach a game where there are 14 walks a game and the kid is at 3rd 2 pitches later and scores on a past ball. Not to mention the arms you are destroying throwing 200+ pitches a weekend without adequate rest. But you know it all! Daddy ball at its finest. But keep teaching launch degrees targets to 10 year olds. see ya in destin!

Wtf travel ball are you watching? Maybe that’s how it is where you are from but it isn’t like that in south la or Houston area, promise that. And I don’t coach, we have paid coaches but sure it’s daddy ball

And yea so laughable to teach correct attack angle yet driveline, Epstein , npt, hdr and every other youth coach worth a shite teach to elevate and how do you that? You teach proper attack angle and sequencing.

You started with the travel ball lyfe shite so don’t get mad when someone chirps back at you.

I gave you over a dozen links and resources, yet you didn’t look at them. Just kept saying I was wrong, sounds like a great coach to me. Someone I would really want my kid to learn from.

Ftr at first I was trying to educate you but you don’t seem interested

Boo.

But there were also 8 combined runs, so that’s a factor.

also understand why baseball is moving to this boom or bust(HR or strikeout) type model. Pitchers are just getting too good, defense is just getting too good. You can't just bang out 3 or 4 basehits in a game as often as in the past, so you have to take big chances.

This.

You aren’t education me on anything. This is all stuff that has been around forever. Just because a 28 year old with an evo shield hat calls it something different doesn’t make it new. I don’t need technology to see what is a good launch angle and what isn’t. “Launch Angle” was designed for pros to hit more home runs. The rest is just stuff that has been around being called something different.

Yet when I linked you to a “launch angle” hlp swing you said yea sure that’s hitting 101.

And you still have no clue what launch angle is. Every fricking ball has a launch angle, Jesus you really are clueless. Have fun going 17-15 every year while making 35k a year

Great discussion

Because it is…

Correct and I don’t need technology to tell me what is good and what is bad.

Small guys that can run hit it lower. Big donkeys try to get more lift. Is that really revolutionary?

Oh so you are one of those guys that thinks he can tell a player has improved in bat speed just by eye?

Keep living in the past big dog, game is passing you buy

That’s also why the bunting game and simply shooting the ball the other way is hard. Starters aren’t going through an order as many times as they used to. Bullpens are loaded with relievers that can go 95+.

Now let’s throw a wrench into things: how would all the launch angle stuff work with a ball that flies about 10-15 feet less (think BBCOR era or what golf is trying to do now)?

If the number of players that can hit homers is reduced, more will have to emphasize contact and speed to stick in the majors. If you want to change a game, change the players

Don't be stealing my idea. I've been making the case to deaden the ball for years on here in order to increase action. If you diminish the percentage for chance of HR enough it at some point will become a better percentage play to hit singles, put the ball in play, steal bases, play small ball. More action.

My biggest gripe with MLB is the acceptance of striking out. It's the absolute worst thing you can do with your at bat.
