for someone who sends letters to guys that retire telling them how much they meant to his career, yes, bitch move. Especially since he spends so much time trying to craft a pristine image

He gave his reason why he didn't, didn't wanna get in the way of the spotlight of Brees and the Saints. You can believe it or not, but Manning has always proven to be classy, and was that way with his postgame remarks. Reaching here.

I don't have problem with that. They were rushing to get the stage up and shite. I am sure he has called both and given them congrats. BTW the stage bullshite is garbage. If you want to do it, let both teams talk to each other after the game is done and THEN do it.

What is this a tattle tale?

He went to the interview and gave props to the saints and will probably personally talk to Brees, Payton and congratulate them.

Token handshakes mean nothing. This is not T-ball.

As long as he shows respect to his competitors (which he did) in post game interviews he did what he needed to do.

I don't think it matters. This isn't high school.

This ain't little league. They don't lineup and shake hands. Does Brees and Payton need manning's congrats to validate their season? Hell no.

If you don't believe his excuse...wait, nevermind. I'm pretty sure Manning still could give a shite what we think.

The dude has been classy since his first day in the league. And now he's a bitch because he said he didn't want to interrupt a celebration for the beloved Saints, lol.

Damn, some of you guys are picky. Just enjoy the moment. Something tells me Peyton has or will give Drew a call.

well, he has been criticized so far on The Herd, First and Ten, and WWL for not doing the expected handshake on the national stage. That's just what i have noticed, i'm sure there are more. They aren't tearing him apart, but simply saying he should have done the handshake and his excuse is BS.

matters? who know, but he is taking a little heat....deservedly.

All sportsmanship is basically just token acts, yet it is still expected behavior.

the media torched Lebron for not shaking hands after the Magic series. That's not happening with Manning for whatever reason

Yes they did and I was part of it. However I just don't see this a such a big deal. Do you think DREW is pissed about it??? or Payton??? Get over it!!! Manning is a class act and great for the league.
