You also realize we signed 2 of the top 10 recruits from Texas, the top recruit from Illinois and Oklahoma, and top 5 recruits from MS and FL right?
I'm sure you forgot about those...

might be a genetic illness called familial hypercholesterolemia...essentially the inability to breakdown cholesterol (so you could otherwise look and be healthy, but still have a heart attack)
I'd go Leshoure...think Det will be in catchup all game and go with Bell. Also Bell has been doing well recently and I think Det will look to get him the ball more frequently

Think you start him, especially because he has Brees.
re: Roddy+Benson for McCoy

His lineup goes from
Lynch, McGahee, McCoy, Garcon, and Dez
to
Lynch, McGahee, Benson, White, Dez...
He basically has to ask himself - is the upgrade from Garcon to White worth the downgrade from McCoy to Benson? To me the answer is an emphatic no

You can offer, but to me that's an instant decline if i were him.
re: Benson for Cj2k
Posted by ATL_Tiger on 10/3/12 at 10:01 am to Iona Fan Man
Honestly no, not at this point. Benson should just get better now that he's acclamated to the offense and CJ2K IMO just sucks...particularly in non PPR

You're weak at RB but I would say hell no. You could do way better than Dez for MJD.
wtf? Turner + SJax + MJD is definitely not weak. Why don't you try Turner for Dez?
Very limited upside with that team. I'd try to trade Bowe and or D. Jackson for a low tier established back (Bradshaw? McGahee?)
Depends on PPR or return yards. If it's PPR and/or has return yards, Amendola wins hands down.
If WC started today...hypothetical USMNT starting lineup
Posted by ATL_Tiger on 8/27/12 at 5:30 pm
Hypothetically, if the World Cup started today, and assume every US player in player pool is healthy (excluding Timmy Chandler) what's your best starting lineup (irrespective of who we match up against)
-------------Howard-------------
Dolo, Boca, Goodson, Fabian Johnson
----------Bradley, JJones ---------

Pretty simple for ours. Deduct avg yahoo draft price from their starting budget + 10% premium.
I.E. If you keep Arian Foster, you deduct $50 (that's his average going price on yahoo) + $5 so you start with $145 budget.
ETA: Auction draft for all years, and 3 keepers total

so, hypothetically speaking, if you had pick 4, who would you go with?? brees? brady? manning? a different RB?
I think Rodgers or Brees get the nod at 4. I don't typically like drafting QBs high, but it's hard to ignore a consistent 25 pts every week.

SPOILERS...
I go TDK followed by TDKR then BB
My major problem with TDKR was pacing. Started a bit slow and muddled for the first 1.5 hours. A couple of scenes took too long to develop. Then everything speeds the frick up after Bruce leaves the underground prison. Basically the revelation of Talia, death of Bane, resolution of the crisis in Gotham happen within a 15 minute span, when it took 2.5 hours to set everything up.
Otherwise i thought the story was well done for the most part, and acting was on point

Which Yankee?? Who else do you know that is famous?
doesn't fit their style of play

but to me the characters just weren't that likeable or interesting. Maybe it was the fault of the movies, I don't know. But I just don't see them ever being a hit like the big boys (Batman, Spidey, X Men, Wolverine, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, etc.)
None of the Fantastic Four characters have a remotely interesting back story like any of those listed above, and therefore no one really has or will become interested or invested into the story / movie.
it should be what they advertise. There's no reason for them to hide any content they have from potential subscribers...
re: Auction draft prices from Yahoo...any big surprises?
Posted by ATL_Tiger on 7/11/12 at 9:21 am to tigerNation09
Overall, just generally surprised at how cheap QBs are going for. Though that yahoo auction draft price list is much different than the one i'm seeing on the draft analysis section. Where's that from?
Edit: That must be from your own draft...Yahoo has average auction draft prices that are much different in the draft analysis section

re: Trent Richardson: why do they hype rooks?
Posted by ATL_Tiger on 7/11/12 at 9:15 am to Iona Fan Man
If "getting adjusted" to the NFL means he averages 3.5 yards per carry, so be it. I'll take that with 300+ touches.
re: Trent Richardson: why do they hype rooks?
Posted by ATL_Tiger on 7/11/12 at 9:10 am to GynoSandberg
Likely take him that high because he's a true workhorse back and those are few and far between. You draft him based on volume and immense talent upside. No one is guaranteeing greatness, but if he can get 275 carries and 30-40 catches who cares if he average 3.5 yards per carry? assuming he averages 7-8 yards per catch, that's 1,300+ yards and if he can throw in TDs he'll be worth it. a mediocre 4.0 yards per carry would put him close to 1,500 based on those volume #s, and it's not a far stretch to think he can average 4 ypc

honestly....drop Stafford, keep mega....I can almost bet you that you will get Stafford again if you want him.(he will not go in the 1st round or "technically 2nd round")
With the point settings heavily tilted to QB, i wouldn't be so certain about that. To me it depends on how much it'll cost you to keep Stafford or CJ...
Without knowing that I'd go CJ then pick up someone like Romo. You can probably get him in the 2nd round and he should put up similar stats to Stafford
I love how he forgets which lane he's in at the end and plows through the hurdles in the lane on his left

I'd say he made a big leap forward in his last start. Gave up 3 in the 1st and had the bases loaded with one out then struck out the side and pitched a no-hitter the rest of the way through 6.
Though to be fair, that's basically the story in most of his starts this season. one shitty inning followed or preceeded by several quality innings. Seems pretty mental IMO

Yea I'm offering package deals hoping someone might but, but you're right his value is too low.
Tim Lincecum
Posted by ATL_Tiger on 6/13/12 at 9:30 am
What are his prospects for turning things around? I believe he's in the bottom 5 of the league among starters in terms of ERA and WHIP for starters that qualify. I've had him and he's caused nothing but pain and I'm pretty ready to sell low.
What do you guys think his rest of season stats are?

Also how did you end up with all those bats in a 12 team league? You have basically 7 second to third round type picks based on ADP coming into the year (Fielder, Pedroia, Reyes, Stanton, McCutchen, Bruce, Zimmerman).

You're already set with a ton of young players wiht a lot of upside right now. I would go with Tex
