Accomplishes a lot. Sends a clear message to all programs going forward that they are not above the law and there are serious consequences for putting football over people. Majority of PSU fans also deserve it.

8 years later? I could have gotten on board with it at the time it was all going down as long as they letbthe players leave and be eligible immediately elsewhere. Now it's all window dressing.

Yeah, I'm not saying the program should be shut down now. It should have been shut down. I refuse to watch anything Penn State related. frick them and a majority of their cult fan base

Shut the program down.

The vast majority of those responsible are either in jail or dead. Move on. It was a dark and disgusting moment in the history of collegiate sports but it's over now.

Kiddie rape is not OK. If the NCAA had any teeth they would have gave them the death penalty.

Why even have a death penalty if you didn’t use it for Penn State? It was the head coach and half the staff that knew something.

The NCAA overstepped its bounds doing what it did and ended up giving back pretty much everything they took from Penn State.

This was a criminal case that was completely outside of the NCAA's realm of responsibility.

Bc the NCAA is essentially the most corrupt organization in the history of America that only cares about money and not integrity nor projecting an accurate, genuine image par for the course basically

PSU protected and allowed a child molester to continue to prey on young children for decades to protect a football program.

If that doesn't warrant the end of that football program, then i don't know what does. PSU should never even dress a team again because of the shame they should feel.

Their fandom overrides their shame. Plus the money football generates. I am sure we can all figure out the motive for protecting/enabling that degenerate monster.

Exactly. That program should have not played for 2 years at least, with major reductions in scholarships for multiple years after that.

It isn't like the Duke Lacrosse case - this actually happened, kids were literally raped in the showers.

I could see the move on argument except for the fact that they just honored that piece of shite Joe Paterno last year. That weird arse fan base doesn't get it

Who the hell cares? Does their celebration of Joe Paterno have any impact on you physically or emotionally?

Does it have to physically harm me for me to think something is vile?
