I don’t really care for Franklin, but in any event I hope the Sandusky staters fail miserably.

Bit of a myth that there is a huge gulf perception wise between usc and ucla (locally). If ucla were to start winning in football it would be hard to tell the difference between the two programs

Don't tell us it will be Bill O'Brian to the rescue again?

This sounds like BS but would be absolutely bonkers if true.

The apparel company calling the shots? Is PSU Addidas’ biggest brand?

I thought the adidas deal didn't even start until next fall. That story is almost too bonkers to be true.

They signed a 10 year deal for $300 million in cash, merchandise and NIL funding that starts next year. Penn State is supposed to be Adidas’ biggest college brand.

penn State has not had top 10 talent in decades and yet they are continually preseason ranked there

if they were properly pre season ranked in the #20-25 area I'm wondering if this firing would have happened

It's gonna be interesting to see if Penn State does better or follows in the footsteps of Nebraska in firing a coach that might lose big games but at least has you in the discussion sometimes with a chance at magic happening.

Case in point - Bo Pelini as head coach at Nebraska had 66 wins; Nebraska has accumulated 55 wins since he was fired.

56m dollar buyout my butt. Every one can see he lost the Team after the Oregon loss. When Oregon walked off their field in overtime with the win during the whiteout game, taunting their student section while they did it, It was all over after that. They absolutely quit on Franklin. It’s the only way you lose back to back games against 0-4 UCLA who had an interim head coach and Northwestern at home.

Maybe your AD is smart enough to not fire somebody until he is sure he has an upgrade already 100% lined up
