As a cubs fan I really don’t like this guy as the face of the franchise. They’ve hitched their wagon to him.

The fact that they gave him a monster contract after having a good 1/3 of a season (and not the last one, the first 1/3...he was garbage down the stretch) is wild. We will regret the hell out of that contract.

It looks that way for sure. But he is really talented. If he can stop swinging at bad pitches and have better plate discipline, he could be an All Star IMO. Now, that’s a BIG if!

His speed and defense will make the extension looking okay.
